Are you an artist based in Scotland, working with and for older people living with dementia?

Join us, along with Age Scotland’s Dementia Training Team for a free training session to boost your ability to include and support people living with dementia in creative activities.

The number of people affected by dementia in Scotland is expected to rise by 50 percent in the next two decades to 120,000. Our interactive training will look at how, as artists and creatives, we can be more inclusive of people living with dementia, as well as understanding the benefits creativity can bring.

We will look at:

  • How to understand the signs and symptoms of dementia
  • How to communicate with people living with dementia
  • How best to include and support people living with dementia
  • How creativity and imagination can benefit people living with dementia – including some case studies

The training will take place via Zoom and joining instructions will be sent to you in advance of the session.

Training is free and sessions are limited to 16 participants.

If you have any questions about the session, please email Morven McIntyre on morven@luminatescotland.org
