Are you an artist or creative based in Scotland already working creatively with people living with dementia?

Join Luminate and Age Scotland’s Dementia Training team for a free online training session to explore how, as artists, you can develop your practice in leading high-quality creative activities for people living with dementia.

We will:

  • Explore ideas around dementia and imagination
  • Challenge our perceptions of high-quality creativity in dementia focused work
  • Explore being more person centred, and process led
  • Refresh our knowledge on communication and being inclusive in the way we structure our activities for those living with dementia
  • Take time to think about our individual needs when carrying out this work, including reflection, wellbeing, and evaluation.

Training is free and sessions are limited to 16 participants. If you are an employee of a cultural organisation, please note that we can only offer one place per organisation. This training is for artists and creatives based in Scotland only.

If you are looking for more of an introductory session that is focused on understanding dementia and the benefits of creativity, please sign up to Luminate’s newsletter for information on upcoming dementia awareness training for artists.

If you have any questions about the session, please email info@luminatescotland.org.
