Heather took up enamelling a few years ago and used her bursary to develop her metalworking skills, alongside sharing her knowledge with local young people.
She has now trained 19 young people and her local high school in Selkirk is offering enamelling as an art option with her input in training teachers and students. Heather also continues to offer free workshops to unemployed people. Her work is now available for sale in four outlets and she is in active discussion with Borders attractions to display and sell her work.
