Based in Stirlingshire, Suzy used her bursary to attend a writing retreat at Moniack Mhor, Scotland’s Creative Writing Centre in the Highlands. She was working on her second crime novel featuring Martha Strangeways, a former journalist with her own tragic past, and the crime writing retreat with Louise Welsh and Abir Mukherjee was a great help. Happily, Suzy has secured both an agent and book deal. The novel she was working on with Luminate’s support is due to be published in 2023.
