Rebekah joined Luminate in January 2026 after working nearby in Age Scotland’s health and wellbeing team since 2022.
Having gained experience across the academic, public, and third sectors, Rebekah has a real passion for using her skills to improve the lives of older people in Scotland. Rebekah has worked with older people in a range of settings including in a Scottish prison, as part of her PhD research in Spain, across community groups such as Men’s Sheds, and many more. Making use of her counselling skills accreditation, Rebekah takes pride in her ability to listen and provide empathetic support to others – whether in a professional or personal context. She is passionate about challenging ageist norms and perceptions, and supporting people in later life to engage with all that the creative world can offer.
Rebekah is also involved with Vintage Vibes, both as a trustee for their Board of Trustees and as a volunteer for their regular theatre group. Rebekah loves supporting the work of this joyful Edinburgh-based charity as they strive to better support older people to feel more socially connected, less alone, and more confident to experience the world around them.
In her spare time, Rebekah is adventurous and creative, and is never happier than when she shares time with loved ones.
