About Revel

Taking place in the theatre dressing room of every show Kally & Steinvör have ever been in, past, present and future, this dance theatre show combines physical theatre and dance, dialogue and music.

Moving between the real relationship in the dressing room as they get ready, always getting ready, and the surreal internal states which describe the losses, gains and adjustments of ageing, two performers perpetually navigate the memories and shifting realities of their bodies and minds with wry humour as they get ready to step out on stage once more.

In a world where we do battle with ideas of who we are told to be, wish we were and actually are, accepting and embracing ourselves as we are now, is the backbone and challenge of this show. This piece is fundamentally about adaptability, resilience, loss, irreverence, joie de vivre and dancing.
