Bee Asha is a Scottish/Punjabi spoken word and mixed media artist based in Edinburgh. Her work blends rap, poetry and song, rooted in cathartic storytelling that explores identity, sexuality, trauma, gender, love and loss. Known for emotionally charged live performances, she moves between softness and intensity, creating immersive shows with her live band.
Alongside her artistic practice, Asha is a facilitator and workshop host, delivering creative sessions focused on EDI for both young people and adults. Her workshops centre joy in creativity, using writing, performance and art as tools for expression, healing and confidence building.
Her work has been recognised by BBC Introducing, The List UK and awards including the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, SAY Awards and the British Sikh Awards. She co-founded the award-winning charity The Spit It Out Project supporting thousands of people in finding community and creativity, and has performed nationally and internationally.
Bee continues to build work that uses creativity as a space for connection, access and cultural change.
