After returning to education as a mature student, Sandra Ireland completed a master’s degree in Writing Practice and Study at the University of Dundee in 2014. She is the author of five psychological thrillers and The Legend of Lady Godiva, a non-fiction book due for publication by Pen & Sword Books in November. An award-winning poet, her work has appeared in several anthologies.
For more than a decade, Sandra has worked in participatory arts with charities including Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust and Art Angel, Dundee. She leads writing-for-wellbeing sessions for people living with long-term health conditions.
Sandra is really looking forward to working with Luminate and Angus Carers’ Centre, supporting carers across Angus to explore their creativity and enjoy writing together through this welcoming new programme.
