Share and Connect: Creative Ageing Gathering 2026

Join us in Arbroath for a knowledge sharing and discussion event about creative ageing.  This free event is for artists and other professionals who have an interest in creative ageing. Preceded by a free networking lunch, it will feature presentations, discussion and there will be plenty of time for networking.

Topics will include creative ageing practice in the community, and also the work of older professional artists.

Who is this event for?

• Older artists, whether you have a longstanding career or have come to your practice later in life
• Artists of any age who work with and for older people in community settings
• Professionals in cultural, community and care organisations who are involved in creative ageing work

What to expect on the day

We will be joined by:

• Iona McCann and Karine Neill from Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust
• Carol Sinclair, Angus-based artist, designer and maker who will speak about her involvement in Applied Arts Scotland’s Mature Makers Group

All our speakers will reflect on their practice and projects. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and have broader discussions around creative ageing during the Q+A session. There will also be time for networking during lunch and at the tea/coffee break.
