Elaine has always liked to move and make things. Movement and art gave her the possibility to connect, exchange and express herself when words were sometimes troublesome. Now aged 46 not much has changed except it is also her work.
Elaine trained in BA Hons Dance and Visual Arts (98), HND Dance and Movement Therapy (00), Diploma in Film Making (08) and Certificate level-1st Year MSc Dementia Studies (22). Throughout this time she has facilitated movement workshops with older people and people with a dementia diagnosis and been part of performances, films and many artistic adventures. In 2019 she set up Spin Turn Creative Movement and works alongside older people and people with a dementia diagnosis through movement and film.
She works with the understanding that there are always routes into connection.
