Stuart is an award-winning poet and performer in his native Scots & English. An author of many poetry collections and inclusive activities, he positively and creatively supports and engages people from all age ranges and communities throughout Scotland to express themselves. His poems have been performed on and in BBC2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Ulster, the Scottish Parliament and HMP Barlinnie. In 2017-18 he was BBC Scotland Poet in Residence & he has written nationally commissioned poems for Lidl UK, Scottish Water and The Nevis Ensemble (‘Scotland’s Street Orchestra’). In 2020 he was nationally voted ‘Scots Language Writer of the Year’. He lives by the Solway Firth in Galloway.
