The Johnstone Song Weavers Evaluation

The Johnstone Song Weavers project was a dementia-inclusive singing initiative developed by Luminate in late 2025.

It brought together a community of singers from across Johnstone, including Singing Buddies, residents of Lancefield Care Home and Adams House, and their dedicated activity leaders and support staff.

The groups joined song leader Bryan Marshall for a series of singing sessions. The project culminated in a sharing event at Elderslie Village Hall in December 2025.

The project was created in collaboration with a number of partners, including Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership, ROAR and Active Communities.

Freelance evaluator Eric Hildrew was embedded in the project. He interviewed participants, song leaders, partners, and the Luminate team.
