Creative art with Sandra Kennedy

Sandra led a small group of care workers from Crossroads Care on Harris. The group focused on weaving, using materials participants may have at home or would find in their surrounding environment. Many of the weavings incorporated sheep’s wool, bog cotton, moss and in contrast, some beautiful offcuts of Harris Tweed.

About Sandra: Sandra Kennedy is an artist from Lewis working in both Gaelic and English. She has lots of experience in teaching art to people from all backgrounds and has been leading workshops in many different venues. She works with different media and art forms including painting, sculpture and printmaking as well as design for drama.
