Artist Support Programme report 2024

Our 2024 Artist Support Programme tried out some approaches to supporting artists who work on creative ageing projects, and this report by Culture Radar shares what we learned.

We collaborated with consultant Nicola Naismith on the programme, which aimed to support the wellbeing and professional development of artists working in creative ageing.  We did this by offering peer support groups for artists in Angus and Edinburgh, and one-to-one coaching for a third group of artists across Scotland.

The report outlines the main findings from the programme. It shows that the artists who took part felt that there had been improvements to their wellbeing and professional development, and that they had grown in confidence.  All the participants would like to see this work continued and expanded in future.

The programme was supported by Creative Scotland, and built on an earlier artist support programme run online in 2022.
