Forfar Creative Ageing Residency
Artist-in-residence project in Angus
This report looks at the impact and learning gained from the pilot project that began our new, two-year creative ageing programme in Angus.
In early 2026 we commissioned visual artist Maureen Crosbie to collaborate with older people in Forfar on an artist residency programme in the town.
She led sessions with groups at Forfar Library, Lochside Connections Dementia Meeting Centre and the Deirdre Knight Day Centre. Creative workshops covered a range of artforms, including textiles, printmaking and mosaic making.
A celebratory sharing of work took place at Forfar Library.
The project ran in partnership with ANGUSalive, Angus Health & Social Care Partnership and Voluntary Action Angus.
